THE AUTHOR

Lela F. Folkers spent 40 years in education, social work, and public health which provided opportunities to work in California, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, and at The National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

After closing out her career, she continued to travel and volunteer her services until she moved to a retirement community to compensate for her vision loss.
